SPOTIFY // VIRAL UNVEILED

Problem: Use any deliverable to bring more visibility to the Global Viral 50 playlist, making it an authority in music.

Solution: A biopic mini-doc series that transcends genres, while being shareable across all digital platforms highlighting artists of various global backgrounds as they ascend to the coveted top spots on Spotify’s most viral playlist in rotation. Using Spotify's user data, we will filter through our listeners and find those who streamed these artists the most as well as those who have been fans from early on, and invite them to ask an interview question of their choosing to the artists the at the end of each episode.

Concept Notes: Using original video content to connect global fans with the artists they made viral. The unveiled biopic series is a behind the scenes look into the lives of the artists' users care about the most. We will learn where these artists came from, how they made it to where they are now, and where they plan to be in the future. We love their work enough to make it viral, now let's find out the core of where it all comes from and how the magic is created. Using Spotify data, we will find the users who’ve supported these artists from the beginning and reach out to the super-fans to generate/ask the final interview questions.

Art Direction: Thrasher Film Noir. The doc series will be shot in high contrast black and white with a widescreen format. (Think VH1’s Behind the Music meets Jay-Z’s “99 Problems”) The logo in the bottom corner of the screen will be a black and white vector globe with a translucent Spotify logo overlay.
